Wadswick Gunroom Dealer Review

Their Story

The gunroom was established in May 2015 and was built as an extension of the attached country store next door. Since its official opening, the gunroom has expanded four times and in doing so the capacity to hold more stock has grown along with it. While interviewing the team at Wadswick they expressed their thanks to their loyal customers for their ongoing support in making this possible.

In addition to this, the team has too changed a lot over the years and has recently had Gunroom Manager, Paul, and Gunroom Assistants, Stuart and Poppy join Director, Alex in hope of broadening the gunrooms team and their capabilities in providing the best service that they can for their customers.

Whether it’s an Air Arms, Beretta, or optics there is certainly something for all shooters. Not only do they stock guns, but they are also a stockist of their own Wadswick branded cartridges amongst many others, the country clothing and shooting accessories are one to browse too!

Whilst you’re browsing, why not order a hot beverage to you in the gunroom, which is freshly made by their very own Forage Cafe and Restaurant!

Their Specialism

After having visited to shop for a tour, Wadswick has described their specialism as being known for their range of sporting and game shotguns. However, if it’s something more specific you’re looking for, Wadswick gunroom should be able to help, and if it’s not currently in stock there’s no doubt, they’ll put the work in to find it for you. Without a doubt the gunroom tries their absolute best to also guide you throughout your shooting journey, from your very first shots to your more experienced game shoots or registered competitions.

The Shooting Simulator

On site, Wadswick offers the facility to host entertainment for friends or colleagues. The shooting simulator allows even the youngest of individuals to get a feel for what shooting is like, without the challenging weather conditions and recoil, but it’s also a great way of imitating clays but also quarry such as pheasant, partridge, duck, deer, and wild boar.

In addition to this, the simulator offers a way of measuring your shots and areas that may need improvement, for nothing more than hiring out the simulator. However, if you’d like to have some fun, the gunroom staff will host a desirable party for your guests with the luxuries of guns from the gunroom and refreshments.

Also on offer, are gift cards to purchase as well as the option to sign up for a Wadswick infinity card that can be used to purchase Wadswicks own cartridges or on clothing, shoes, and accessories in the main shop. This card allows you to collect points that eventually lead to money off your next purchase at Wadswick.

Shooter Reviews

Catherine Fallon comments –

As someone who has purchased a gun from Wadswick. How would you describe their service and knowledge during the process?

Wadswick was my go-to gunroom when I was looking to return to shooting last year. They stock an extensive range of sporting and field shotguns from all the main manufacturers. Gunroom Director Alex Barton and his team have gained a reputation for really looking after their customers and nothing being too much trouble.

What do you like about the gunroom?

The one thing that really sets them apart amongst other gunrooms is their Shooting Simulator.  In the absence of an onsite shooting ground, the simulator offers a customisable true to life shooting experience under the watchful eye of Stuart Knight.

What’s your favourite thing about the gunroom as a whole?

It has to be the warm and relaxed environment and their very competitive pricing.

What would you say to someone thinking about visiting the gunroom?

For anyone thinking about visiting the gunroom, I’d say just do it, you won’t be disappointed, plus you can also drop into Forage at Wadswick for coffee and a slice of cake!

Phil Barker comments –

The team is always welcoming and friendly. They are happy to help and talk through any questions I have. To be honest, I would recommend them to anyone, whether they are just thinking of starting out or have been shooting for years.

Alex Moon comments –

I always have a great experience when visiting Wadswick.
They make you feel welcome and will happily chat to you about all things shooting.

It’s nice to plan a few hours there, pop in and see the new guns, shooting gear and grab a coffee or some lunch.

I was looking at trading in my browning 525 for an upgrade and Wadswick offered me a fantastic price.
I spoke with Stuart and he showed me a few options. They had such a vast variety of guns it was hard to narrow it down but with his guidance and knowledge we managed to get a final 3.

The best part was the ability to try out each gun on their simulator so I could get a feel for weight and fit.

I ended up spending way over my budget but now I am the proud owner of a browning 725 limited edition. The gun is beautiful and worth every penny as it makes me smile every time, I take it out of the case.

Stuart and I now shoot regularly together as we are both members of Lady’s Wood Shooting School. I think that’s testament to how friendly the staff at Wadswick are and also shows how many great people are involved in the sport.
