Description

Made August 11th 1898 for Leolin Brigg esq of Kildwick Hall, Keighley, West Yorkshire by Messrs William Powell of Birmingham, just as ejectors had started to be fitted to their guns.
A Captain in the 5th Batallion during WW1, Mr Brigg was out shooting on Haworth Moor in October 1938 when he suddenly collapsed and died.
The gun was re barrelled May 22nd 1964 by William Powells for S Entwistle of Blackpool, re laying it with the original rib from the number 2 barrels.
The gun is in excellent order with a stunning piece of wood. The barrels are well in proof, with plenty of wall thickness and free from dents or pitting.
The action is rose and scroll engraved and also in excellent order. This is the number 2 gun from a pair, and will have been substantially expensive when it was made.

We have a large selection of guns which are not all advertised on Gun Trader, including a large selection of used air rifles in pre-charged and spring, as well as shotguns and rifles too. Please contact us for more information on 01772 258980 or sales@bondbywater.co.uk
