BSA MAJESTIC .308 BOLT ACTION RIFLE. ABSOLUTE CLASSIC British Made BSA Majestic in .308 Winchester WITH FACTORY PORTED Muzzle. 22 ¼” (565mm) Original condition Barrel still retaining the open / iron sights. As detailed this IS also a Ported Muzzle version so ‘HORROR OF HORRORS’ NOT screw cut! Obviously THAT means you have to be of a certain mind set. Also very probably age where you JUST DON’T CARE about the odd BANG. OR simply use hearing protection at the point of taking a shot. It IS easy enough when you actually KNOW what you are doing. Stock pull measures 13 ¾” (350mm) and brings in an overall length of 41 ½” (1055mm). That includes the 1” (25mm) Butt Pad with ¾” (19mm) ‘Soft Cell’ recoil absorber. With a bare rifle weight an ounce short of 6Lbs (2.684 Kg) ….. That’s 5 Lbs 15 oz (for those of you ‘metric’s’ out there) this is LIGHT. Especially given quite a hefty calibre and no sound moderator option top reduce recoil. However, I did have basically the same rifle in many years ago in .30-06 calibre. The Factory Ported Muzzle worked exceptionally well and that is basically a magnum .308 in all but name. This is also in Absolutely FABULOUS Condition. It came in along with another Majestic in .243 in equally wonderful condition and from the same vendor. OUT OF INTEREST its not that long since I sold a .270 version. THAT was just making the same hole marginally bigger with the first few rounds at the obligatory 100 Yard mark. After that they simply continued going through the same hole. As such you DO NOT need ‘brand new’ if you simply want an ACCURATE working rifle. Pretty sure this will perform along the same lines. Worth a thought but when a rifle gets this age its either GOOD or been scrapped LONG AGO. Also, let’s NOT forget that BSA and other British Engineering companies WERE the envy of the world back then. BSA made just about ANYTHING in metal from cutlery through to Motorbikes. (I still have one)! All BRITISH made with our own coal and quality ore in Birmingham. As such a GENUINE piece of British Sporting Gun making History and at a price anyone can afford. WELL cared for since buying brand new the rifle has apparently not done much. I suspect it WILL have done more than most. BUT the fella simply knew how to stalk as well as take care of his kit. Not really so much as a mark or blemish worth detailing on either rifle. The actual Bolt Knob on this is still a Deep Lustrous Blue to match the rest of metalwork. For what minor marks are in the stock the steam from a hot cup of tea will ALMOST lift them. Action is pre-machined with a top dovetail all ready to accept standard Parker Hale ‘Roll On / Roll Off’ scope rings. I DO have a selection of options in stock. Safety is mounted on the rear Bolt Shroud which also houses a cocking indicator. £399.99 FOR (AS UP TO DATE AS POSSIBLE!) STOCK DETAILS CHECK OUT OUR OWN WEBSITE DIRECT. THERE ARE A LOT MORE GUNS LISTED THERE IN ALL CATEGORIES as well as MANY other hard to find items for all areas of shooting and what we don’t have we can try to source: https://www.emma-rifles.co.uk
