Description
This is a second hand AYA Sidelock 25 ejector with 25" barrels choked at 1/4 & 1/2 - a lively and fast handling gun with a raised file cut rib. It is a good looking gun which prove to be reliable during use even over many years heavy service but if something happens to break such as a firing pin or top-lever spring the parts are readily available. The action is in decent condition - the top lever has just about centred indicating a reasonable amount of use over the years. The stock is nicely figured and in tidy condition apart from a few light marks. The bores are clean and the blueing is wearing a little thin at the muzzle end. This is a gun that would be perfect for general walked up, rough and driven game shooting locally. The short 25" barrels make this gun handle very fast so perfect for driven partridge shooting but there is enough choke to cope with later season pheasants. The barrels are chambered for 2 3/4" cartridges making it suitable for a wide choice of cartridge loads including some steel shot options moving forwards. Part exchange welcome.
