Browning 20 gauge B25 Sideplate (Peter Scott Engraving)

Description

Excellent condition 20 Bore B25 Custom Sideplate produced in honour of the famous
conservationist and painter Sir Peter Scott.

Well figured oil finished one piece swan neck stock finished with a concealed factory heel plate fitted with scroll engraved fixing screws, the stock is accompanied by a genuine three piece Browning forend.

Browning have paid homage to Sir Peter Scott with detailed wildfowl game scenes on both sideplates, the left hand sideplate shows various duck coming into land on a small pond while the right hand sideplate displays five geese in full flight.

A self portrate of the man himself has been engraved on the underside of the action, he is sat waiting with a side by side on the foreshore for a duck flight to start, the rest of the action has been engraved with fine cut C grade style scroll work.

A pair of 28" fixed choke barrels sit alongside the action with a thin ventilated top rib and solid side ribs, both bores are in superb condition with no signs of pitting or damage.

Fine cut scroll engraved top lever and rounded trigger guard with a fixed coin finished trigger blade, manual safety catch incorporating the barrel selector.
