ENGLISH ‘NO NAME’ 12G SIDE BY SIDE BOXLOCK EJECTOR.                                  Un named 12g Side by Side English made 12 Gauge Boxlock ejector shotgun. I detail English made because it has English proof marks from before and after it has been almost invisibly sleeved. Whoever actually produced the gun originally has done a typically good job. Using a Cross Bolt Triple Locking Action it is immensely strong. Barrels are an unusual but very well balanced 27 9/16” (700mm) fixed at ½ and ¼ chokes. They come with longer than usual 2 ¾” (70mm) chambers and a concave tapering rib and machined top finish. The original colour case hardening is all but lost, apart from just behind the action shoulders. A 14 ½” (368mm) rounded Prince of Wales Pistol grip stock which is cast ever so slightly for a left handed shot. It weighs in at 6lbs 10oz (3.01Kg) and IS a NICELY MADE gun. A GREAT shame the makers details have been lost, presumably when the sleeving was done. I can only guess that they were on the original rib which cannot have been suitable to lay back to the replacement tubes.
