Leeson, W. R. & Son 12 gauge

Good condition W.R Leeson & Son shotgun, with replacement barrels made by William Powell & Son. Proof marks on the action and the barrel suggest that they were made around the same period, which is between 1925 and 1954. The gun was originally proofed in London, whilst the barrels are from Birmingham. There are a few cosmetic blemishes on the stock and the bluing, but nothing untoward for a gun of its age. Mechanically, the action is still very tight and the ejectors have plenty of force behind them. The gun locks up well and is very pointable. Choked 1/4 and 1/2 makes it useable even with standard pressure steel cartridges. An excellent value for money English made shotgun.
