As most collectors may know John Whiscombe was an incredible engineer and made some fantastic field target guns which are now held in very high regard.
This one was one of Johns own rifles as he normally kept number 1 and 2 of each series that was produced. Produced in the mid 80's
This gun has just returned from Nick Simmons who has stripped the action , Made 2 x new piston heads and resealed and serviced to put it back at 11.2 ft lb with H&N field target trophy and provided a test target showing 20 shots at 40 yards with a group size at just 20mm
The gun is in good all round general condition with the action and barrel retaining all its finish, the underlever is a little browned from use.
The Thumbhole stock has really nice grain but does have an odd mark here and there , stippled grip, adjustable heel plate
Scoped with a Japanese Tasco world class 2.5-10 x 44 and single piece mount

Any gun can be transferred to your local Rfd (Ask their permission first!) for a £30 fee. If the gun is pre 1939 it can be delivered to your home address for £30 carriage.
