Description
A rare BSA Sporter based on a P14 barreled action
BSA built these rifles just after WW2 & were based on new surplus Pattern 14 service rifles that were made in the USA during WW1
There was also a version made in 30/06 based on the P17
As part of the conversion to a sporting rifle the rear sight protecting ''ears'' at the rear of the action were removed, the barrel was shortened to 24" & re-crowned & a new foresight fitted, also a sporting rear sight was fitted
The original 2-stage trigger was retained & the action was drilled & tapped for scope blocks
BSA fitted a new walnut sporter stock with a chequred grip, capped pistol grip, heel plate, Schnable forend & sling studs
A Timney adjustable single stage trigger conversion is available for this rifle
