Mint condition, hardly used. No marks, no dents, no rust. A huge array of accessories.
The gun is in as new condition with not a mark on the stock or metalwork. It is a fantastic example of an iconic rifle, and this one is clearly a bit special. The stock has nicely figured wood with a rare dark wax finish, which makes for a superior grip in wet or dusty conditions and easy touch-up or repair if you manage to scratch it. The barrel and action has a deep-blued finished. The gun is fitted with sling mounts front and rear.
We know the full history of this gun as we sold it to the first and only owner in March 2012 and consulted on the hand-loading equipment and recipe. The gun was purchased for hunting deer and boar, and for competing in running-deer competitions. However, illness prevented the owner from continuing and as a result, it has sat in a cabinet for a number of years.
Records kept by the owner tell us that it has been fired 30 times of which 20 rounds were factory ammunition and 10 were hand-loaded.
