originally commissioned in 1854 by the Duke of Devonshire, later Earl Cavendish who inherited Chatsworth House, this Purdey is an early example of an original centre fire action NOT a factory pin fire. It has the look of a hammer shotgun but can use modern 21g cartridges. A fantastic rare example in supern condition
